XLR8R Review-May of 2003
‘The grinding acid assemlage of the best cuts from NYC's biggest electro label on this ,their retrospective comp, is speckled with unreleased goodiesand tracks from as far back as 96. Prepare youreself for heavy bass driven electro. This aint no minimal experimental album. Even break-heads will love tracks like Scape One's "Android Robotics", while Decal's "From the Inside" can do some serious dance floor damage. An emotional ride with EMS's "Take MY Time" takes the edge off the overall acid feel of this album. Remember you're squatting days in that abandoned industrial site? This was you're soundtrack.’

EMS - From NYC this artist is the real deal . He builds his own drum machines and modular Syths. This producer had his first release on Satamile in 1996. This is raw electro way ahead of its time.
Scape One - From Robots to hip hop is South Coast b-boy Kurt Baggaley went from
breakdacing to graffiti, djing ,then into programming ,picking up his Scapeone tag along the way. This is fantastic new electro. His production is mysterious and unique with a very distinctive sound.
Silicon Scally aka Carl Finlow - World reknown producer whose cuts have set a precedent for electro in the future. Taking the listener to a Blade Runnerish domain. Finlow has many releases on other well known labels.
Decal - Alan O Boyle and Dennis McNulty started writing tracks back in 1993. Subsequently they ended up with releases on WARP Records, Ultramack, Leaf Recordings, Plant Mu and now Satamile. This is one of Europe most innovative driving electro groups around.
Freezie Freekie - Based out of NYC this is his first release and one of our greatest finds. Data Sink, his 12 inch EP comeing out in Jan.03 encmopases two very rich electro break tracks.Watch for more from this up and coming artist.
Bolz Bolz - This producer is legendary. With previous releases on labels such as Ersatz, Electric Kingdom, Force Inc and his own World Electric imprint, Bolz Bolz is setting a new milestone for world electro.
Satamile - aka Andrew Price is the man responsible for Satamile Records and Static Parties ( a weekly party run by Satamile Records). Started in 1995, Satamile Records has become NYC’S Biggest Electro Label.
Airlocktronics - Alexander Crook represents as one of Germany’s best new producers. He is reknown for his underground label DRIVE IN Records. He helped lay down the foundation for other underground labels to push forward a new world of electro.
